OPITZ Solar GmbH, Neuruppin
In the Top 100 of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany – an honour Opitz Solar GmbH got in 2011 for the third time in a row. That is a proof of the continuity in innovations and best product-quality.

Ruppiner Papier- und Folienwerke GmbH, Neuruppin (papermill and foil factory)
In 2011 the company was honoured for its environmental commitment to sustainable innovative products with the “Zukunftspreis”, initiated by the IHK Ostbrandenburg and the Märkische Oderzeitung.

GRIAG Glasrecycling AG
The GRIAG Glasrecycling AG, being a part of the Stena Metall Group, developed an unique procedure regarding the recycling of LCD monitors and the grafting of worn-out monitors into X-ray glass.

The innovative automated procedure enables a form of recycling, exceeding the Eurpoean electric and waste electronic equipment requirements. The new X-ray glass protects against radiation and could be used in hospitals for example.

In 2009 the Jetcar-Elektro, a car fully operated by electricity, was tested for the first time. Since February 2010 it is being produced and sold on demand. The first Jetcar was developed in 1998 by the brothers Christian Wenger-Rosenau and Michael Wenger.

With its standard lithium-ion-battery the car is able to cover a distance of more than 200 km, at minimum noise level and is 100% free from emissions.
